Djokovic Sets Up Wimbledon Rematch with Alcaraz
The 21-year-old reigning champion stands in the way of Djokovic's bid to equal Federer's record
Wimbledon: Novak Djokovic set up a Wimbledon rematch with Carlos Alcaraz by beating Lorenzo Musetti 6-4 7-6 6-3 on Tuesday. Djokovic, who is looking to equal Roger Federer with his eighth Wimbledon title, will face Alcaraz in the final on Sunday. Alcaraz beat reigning champion Djokovic in a thrilling five-set men's final last year to win his first Wimbledon title.
Djokovic has won his last four Wimbledon men's singles titles, and is bidding to become the first man to win five in a row since Federer in 2003-07. Alcaraz, who is the youngest men's grand slam champion since Djokovic in 2011, is looking to become the first Spanish man to win Wimbledon since Rafael Nadal in 2010.
The final is expected to be a close contest, with both players in impressive form. Djokovic has won 21 grand slam titles, while Alcaraz has won two. The match will be played on Centre Court on Sunday.
